What paperwork do I need & what do i need to fill out at drop-off?

At each visit, you will need to fill out our admission form.  The link is at the top of this page and throughout our website.  This will allow your pet to get two free cookie times for having the paperwork already filled out before drop-off.  Admission forms are also available at our facility.  If your pet will need to get vaccine updates, you will need to fill out the appropriate paperwork at drop-off.  Please allow 10-15 minutes at drop-off.

Is water provided & do you need to bring your own food/water bowls

Clean, fresh water is provided to your pet at all times.  We also have our own stainless steel food and water bowl, so you should not bring your own dishes.

Where is the Kennel Located?
The kennel is located on Strickland Road between Six Forks Road and Lead Mine Road. We are in a big yellow farmhouse.

For further instructions, see this MAP

How are my Boarding Fees Calculated?

Boarding fees begin on drop off day. Check-out time from Monday through Friday is 2 pm, which means that you will be charged for each day that your pet stays past 2 pm.

What do you Feed my Pet?

We feed high quality Bil-Jac diets. We have puppy, adult, reduced fat, & senior formulas. For $1.00 per day, we also have Hill’s Prescription Diet® I/D® diet for those with touchy tummies and Royal Canin Veterinary Diet® Potato and Whitefish Formula™ Limited Ingredient Diet for dogs with allergies.

What Vaccinations are Required?

All pets who come to us for boarding or grooming must be up-to-date on ALL of their vaccinations. For dogs, this includes Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and 6-month Bordetella (Canine Cough or Kennel Cough). Dogs must have proof of annual heartworm and fecal exams. For cats, we require Rabies, Feline Leukemia, and Feline Distemper. Cats must have proof of an annual fecal exam.

We prefer that you have your vet FAX us the vaccination information to us prior to your scheduled drop-off date, but you may bring in written documentation from your vet when you arrive. Our fax number is (919)847-4632.

Vaccine documentation is required for both boarding and grooming appointments!

What is your relationship with Armadale Vet?
Although Armadale Animal Hospital is a separate business, we work closely together. Routine medical services can be arranged at drop-off. The veterinarians at Armadale can handle any urgent medical needs your boarding pet might have.

Armadale vet can be reached at (919) 847-1972

Is the Kennel Associated with the Pet Care Service Assocation (formally ABKA)?

Yes - Armadale Farm Kennel is only one of six facilities accredited by Pet Care Service Association in North Carolina! We have been certified by their voluntary facility accreditation.

Do Pets Interact During their Stay?
Pets are boarded in their own enclosures. Dogs interact with their neighbors, but are not turned loose together except for playtime/playgroup activities that you sign up for upon admission.

What is an "Extra Walk?"
An "extra walk" gives your dog extra time in our fenced in yard. A kennel tech takes your dog out of their run and walks them around the yard on a leash. This gives them a little extra exercise as well as fresh air. Each walk typically lasts 10 minutes.

What can you Bring from Home?

If you feel your dog needs something from home, ask when you make your reservation about items we can or cannot allow. Examples of what we cannot allow are: beds of any kind, comforters, pillows or anything stuffed, rope toys, carpet squares, tennis balls, or sleeping bags.
